Your first friend was correct. Submit 8x10's for legit acting roles and comp cards for print/modeling submissions. More and more, comp cards are becoming acceptable for commercial submissions as well. www.robertkim.com

comp cards are for models and 8 x 10's are for actors. That is the industry standard at the moment. You will appear as if you haven't done your homework. When it really comes down to it though I think if they like the way you look it doesn't matter what you send them. Sometimes inexperience goes hand in hand with a non jaded actor, who is fresh and inspired. Standards change and there is a good reason for it, and it does make sense to send a bunch of different looks if thats the type of talent they are looking for. I wouldn't recommend it though. I would send 8x10's

There's still a prejudice that models can't act ... so it is a bit risky to submit a comp card for an acting role. Stick with the 8 by 10! Good luck. Ron
