I'm not happy with who I'm currently using. Who do you recommend?

Also, are there any printers that will also print your resume to the back... or uses a paper suited for printing your resume on the back yourself?

I'm pretty fond of ISGO. They have fast shipping times, reasonable prices and they don't charge a set up fee. I know they offer printing on the back of your headshots, but I wouldn't recommend it, as you will want to update your resume with new work and training. For the lazy actor like me, I just buy a stack of pre cut 8x10 paper. You just print and staple...so much easier and such a time saver. I don't remember where I bought it (something like actors paper online but I'm sure you can google a company that provides it) or I heard kinkos also cuts 8x10 paper

Hope that helps!

If you must print your resume on the back, you're going to have to downgrade to lithos. Printing on the back is stupid period. It becomes dated.

All resumes become dated once you've handed them out. So I guess handing out your resume is stupid, period. Big Grin

It's not that I "need" to print it on the back. I just want to know if any online printers have that option.

A guy I used to go with used stock that could be printed on (laser or ink). So before I left the house for an audition, I would print my current resume to the back of the headshot.

Again, I don't need to do... and it really isn't a deal-breaker in the least. I'm just curious about who might have that option.

Use Reproductions if you want to print on the back of your headshots and order the heavy paper that is designed for printing on the back. Use an inkjet printer, not a laserjet. Only print what you need or you risk outdated resumes on the back of your headshots.

Dear Actor,

Thank you for purchasing Reproductions’ MasterPhoto Heavy reproductions for your 8x10 headshots and/or postcards. Through this product you are receiving superior quality prints that have a more luxurious feeling and weight. An additional benefit is the heavy weight photo paper is specially designed for printing with a photo inkjet printer. Now you can conveniently print your resumé on the back of your 8x10’s as needed and revise your resumé at any time for future printing. You may also print messages on the back of your postcards as individual follow-ups or in quantity for larger announcement mailings.

Requirements

•Photo inkjet printer. DO NOT use a laser jet printer.
Printer Recommendations

There are many types of ink jet printers available. We have found that photo inkjet printers such as the Epson Stylus series (C68 or C88) achieve the best results printing on the back of MasterPhoto Heavy reproductions. Do not use laser printers to print MasterPhoto Heavy prints, as damage will occur to both the prints and your printer. If using another brand of photo inkjet other than Epson, results may vary and we recommend testing it. Be sure the paper delivery system of your printer does not bend the print as you will experience paper jamming. The Epson printers are designed to transport the paper without bending and can print up to 22 prints per minute with black ink.

Printing

When printing 8x10’s or postcards select the paper or format size and print orientation (horizontal or vertical) from your printer menu. Print some test prints first to make sure that your resumé or postcard message prints correctly before proceeding with quantity printing.

Please Note: Please note that the above information is provided by Reproductions to aid you in your use of MasterPhoto Heavy 8x10’s and/or postcards. However, due to the many variables that one can encounter with computers, printers and operator skills, Reproductions can not be held responsible should you encounter any problems when printing with MasterPhoto Heavy products. With that stated, Reproductions is still dedicated to assisting you and should you encounter any difficulties please feel free to contact us and we will attempt to help resolve them. (646.502.3700)

We wish much success and hope that our MasterPhoto Heavy assists you in your endeavors.

WRONG! Because if you STAPLE your resume to a headshot and need to update it, you can carefully remove the staples and restaple in the same areas as if nothing ever happened.

If your print multiple resumes on the back of headshots and some dramatic changes happen a week later, then those headshots are junk.

Relax... geez. Why are you so adamant about being right about this?

First of all, what do you care if people print their resume to their headshots? Second, you can voice your opinion without being crass. Finally, you might want to actually read what I wrote:

"So before I left the house for an audition, I would print my current resume to the back of the headshot."

1. it is possible to print resume on the back of photo paper. my lab pixelsla.com does it on a regular basis

2. if your resume becomes dated, you can staple an updated paper copy over the existing one

Not all photo paper is printable. It depends upon how absorbent the photo paper is. A high resin based paper will not absorb and will smear and smudge. Also, thin papers are not good at absorbtion. Hence, all the naysayers.
People are generally divided on this issue, either for or against printing on the back of headshots. As long as you can print just what you need at the moment you can avoid waste. The same analogy can be said for printing resumes. Don't print too many as you need to update....

Yes, unless you are a household name, and instantly recognizable.

Lurker said it. It's STANDARD! What if your resume gets detached? They'll still have your name and find a way to contact you.
