Hey Everyone! So, after some mixed reviews from my first round of headshots, I went back for a reshoot. A lot of people on the boards felt that my headshots looked like glamour shots and I do agree that the shirt that we originally used (although a really nice shirt in person) did not work for headshots. So here are four pictures that I/and my photographer chose after the second round. I told him specifically that I wanted a very natural feel this time and I do believe we captured that. So please tell me what you think and if you think these will work. Thanks so much!
And I have to say, I've been getting some good feedback from using this picture from the original photo shoot:
And this is another commercial shot from the first photo shoot that I never put up on the boards. Again, I know the shirt is terrible but if I crop it to loose the boobies and the drooping sleeves, do you think it could work?
Thanks for the feedback!

i honestly can't remember who you shot with the first time, and i don't have time to go back and look for your first thread right now, but i'm still just seeing way too much photoshopping, mostly on your face/skin. there's this underlying glamourshots feeling that i'm not sure i can explain why or how it's there. they just don't seem natural to me. i mean, there are NO lines on your face. everyone has lines on their face around their eyes and lips, even people with perfect skin and children.
ok, i think i see it, but i have no idea how to articulate this, so bear with me. this is subtle, but your face skin has a different, um, consistency, then the rest of the skin on your body. it's a different color than the rest of your body. or... something, i'm just not sure how to articulate it beyond saying overphotoshopped. your make-up looks MUCH better (ie natural), but your face just looks photoshopped, like what you would see at a glamour shots (which is probably why you got that feedback before).
anyway, just my opinions. you still look lovely

These are a photoshop nightmare. You're a pretty girl but I'd shoot with a professional on your next session. I'm not a fan of this glamor look and the backgrounds are lifeless. The light is okay but overboard with studio blandness.
Again, you're very pretty and have a great look, but I'd consider a pro next time.
I actually did go to a pro and I was worried a bit about the photoshopping as well but I mean, doesn't everyone get their pictures touched up? I'm also going to include the pictures before they were touched up so you can see, there's a difference but IMO, not a huge difference. So what do I do? (ignore the piece of string in my mouth...it was to help me with smiling with less gums)

You look fine in these but the retouching is way out of control. Anybody looking at these can tell that they have been heavily retouched and that won't serve you well when you submit these.
You need to have the photographer ease up on the retouching and if they aren't able to just bring the un-retouched versions to someplace like reproductions for the retouching.
Retouching on headshots should be done with a light hand. You should have pores, some lines under your eyes and your hairline should look like it does in person, etc...
ahhh you look like a real person hehe sorry. i see why a few of the photoshop choices were made.
yes, everyone does get photoshopping, but to remove stray hairs or a zit or two, to lessen (but not remove) under eye lines and circles, and yes, maybe partially to even out skintone.
but your photoshopper changed you. edited out your hairline. changed your skin entirely. i dunno...
i think rgp articulated what i couldn't. in the retouched version, you have no pores on your face! i think thats what is missing! pores.
i really like the last one. i can see some basic retouching needed, but i like that one best, i do think.
