Not all photographers use Reproductions to host galleries. I'd argue that most don't. Lawrence

I am one of the rare photographers who actually gives my clients proof (or "contact") sheets. They are photographic-quality and ready within 15-20 minutes after the session. The reason I do this is simple. Taking around a CD, you must have immediate and unfettered access to a computer. When showing your new headshots to family, friends, or fellow acting students, this may be totally impossible. You cannot pass them around, you cannot compare frame #99 with frame #199 side-by-side, in seconds. Worse still, you cannot physically mark on a computer image, you must take notes. Printing proof sheets costs me a helluva lot more, but in these ways, they're well worth the extra expense and effort. When given a choice between the two, they are infinitely faster and more versatile. If you want to see individual images in a larger format, you can always sit at my computer and view them all life-sized at any time. www.robertkim.com
