Maybe she means that do you list if it was in the festival. That is how I interpreted it. In whic case, yes. Every time I do something that gets to a festival, I put that down next to it as the name of the festival can capture people's attention. Makes more of an impact, as opposed to another meaningless credit they have never heard of, as so many independent films are.
"A woman, standing nude, looks in the bedroom mirror and says to her husband, "I feel horrible, I look fat and ugly. Pay me a compliment.? Her husband replied, "Your eyesight's damn near perfect." He never heard the shot."

Thanks, Miss Stone, that was exactly my question! Of course the film ITSELF would be a credit on the resume, but I wasn't sure if one should also add (via parentheses, or perhaps an asterisk leading to a note at the bottom) that it was shown at a festival. Of course I know that if it wins an award, you put "Winner of the X award at Y festival, 2009", but I didn't know if the mere fact that it was shown counted as well.
So thanks for the advice!

haha, ya, sorry, I should've been clearer. By "it" I meant the festival it went to. You should definitely include it on there. I't can be kind of tricky to format the resume right with that extra notation, but worth it. : D

I say definitely! Festival films are interesting. It shows your diverse experiences and you must have also put a lot of effort in it. Do you mind telling us what film is it? I actually am a big fan of film festival films.

It's an NYU grad film my daughter was in, called "The Garden." The student who did it, Jason Stefaniak, emailed us to let us know that it got into a small festival in Maryland called the Heritage Film Festival. He's also submitting it to other festivals, and he said it's actually in the running to be shown on the Hallmark Channel - he'll let us know what happens.
So, it's not exactly Cannes or anything, but every little bit helps.
