There's no such thing as a model headshot. There's comp cards for models and headshots for actors.
From the video I saw of you, this looks nothing like you.

Do you have a higher resolution photo? The retouching looks a bit overdone.

A headshot is just that. A photograph of the head. There is a huge difference in headshots for models and headshots for actors, however. They are totally different in technique, approach, and style.

First, you need to see what a good modeling headshot looks like. Just visit a top modeling agency and ask the rep if you can look at their client wall and examine the comp cards. You'll notice hundreds of top quality professional model headshots staring at you, all at one time. Not only will you see what constitutes good work, but even more importantly, learn what successful, working models are using.

In answer to your original question, I agree with all of the remarks already posted here (too much digital re-working, etc.). But as with your acting headshot, you simply need to find a photographer who knows what they're doing. So far, you haven't done that. All of your questions will be answered once you find a qualified professional. All of the message board advice in the world, no matter how good, won't solve your headshot issues until you do.

Cruising message boards is just not the way to get great headshots. Going to great photographers is.

Ms stone you are wrong wrong wrong wrong there is a huge difference between a acting headshot and a models headshot. I will explain since you obviously do not know. I do not care if you like my pic or not it is your attitude sometimes i do not care for like you are talking down to us like we are school children.I bet you are a theatre snob and your school of thinking is the only kind of real acting is the theatre you probably consider tv and film cinematic sillys. Now a models headshot is more about attitude whereas a actors headshot is to showcase your personality.But a commercial headshot a model can use for the front of there comp card if they wish to.Also some models have two comp cards one very fashion oriented and another more commercial for commercial print work.

You all are right the resolution not looking right but miss stone this is what i look like you do not know everything so quit acting like you do. I do notice you never put yourself out there ever and robert kim i appreciate your advice and by the way i sent my shots i got done to well i talk to bradford rogne on myspace and he said all my new shots are good for los angeles he did see a better resolution then the one i posted and said they would work well out there but would need more but they would be a good start.

In addition, I never put myself up here for one awesome reason- I do not need to. I am not an extra and my world/career is just fine. I have no need for input from inexperienced newbies (not all of you are of course-Eldorado). Get of your high horse and accept you are no model.

I am a model i get work as a model i just got a 1500 dollar job as a model but granted i am not that much of a fashion model but commercial print yes i am so quit saying things that are wrong about me but i will say this i agree with you the majority of the time you are very knowledgeable about things but also when that commercial was shot i was heavier and there was noone doing hair and makeup and by the way i do i know i am more in the character realm.

But a model yes i am miss stone yes i am!!!

I have to agree with Miss_Stone, even though I do not like to speak about the subject of beauty. Hotpatrick is not that good looking, but no offense, you're borderline average to homely. I could see you as the average father, anything with the common person, but not the leading man. You're no Brad Pitt, Johnny Depp, or Clark Gable, so if you're delusional about your looks then I am sorry to break your bubble.

So when I heard you're a model, I was like "what?" You just don't look like a model to me, you're not that good looking. And with your name you come off as you're like the hottest guy that was born on the face of the planet. Which to everyone else comes off as a conceited guy who thinks he's all that, when he's obviously not.

Perhaps you're a model, but don't come around here and think you're that good looking. I know when I see good looking people, and you're not one of them. If you want me to go into details about your looks I could, such as your yellow teeth, and flabby facial skin, and thin hair, and chubby body. If I saw you walking down the street I would probably just pass you by, and think "common guy". If I think about you at all, which I highly doubt, I would probably not even notice you. If I was a bad mood, I would probably be thinking at you "look at the fat guy; he is so gross"

I just think it looks foolish to be telling this whole forum that you're some hot guy. Nobody should do that, really, since this isn't a forum call "Are you HOT or NOT". It's about acting, and I bet that half the people here are actors who aren't that good looking.

If I was running around in every thread saying "I am so beautiful; look at me; I am MODEL!" People would be bashing me like silly, since I am not that beautiful. In one or two threads I did made connections with beautiful celebrities, but that was because I respect them, and I did notice miss stone thought of me as some teenager who has a full head. I am far from it, since I think of my looks as average. Lonni is so much more beautiful than me.She has the right to be telling everyone she is beautiful, but she doesn't, so she's cool.
