Hi to all you more-technically-savvy-than-me people - is there a way that I can save my DDs headshot so that it uses less memory? Actor's Access requires it to be less than 1.5 megabytes, and it's way over that.
Thanks!

First you need a program that will allow you to reduce the size such as Photoshop. Find out the size that Actors Access needs such as 800X600 on the longest side. That will reduce the file size already plus convert it to 72dpi for web use. Then add jpg compression. You probably have a file that is 240dpi intended for print use. Best to have a photog do it for you.
Hi, there! The easiest way to do this is to use a photo editor program (you can get some for free these days- just do a search online.) When you open the photo in the editor program you'll look for the "image size" menu (or something to that effect)- you'll want to change the image resolution from 300 dpi to 72 dpi. What this does is change the file from a printing resolution to a computer viewing resolution, cutting the file size way down, but at the same time the image stays just as big (8"x10" or 4"x6".) It's a little too technical to describe how this actually works- so I'll just end it at that!
Thanks Erin and Dad! I just downloaded a free version of PhotoScape and was able to reduce the headshot size - and got the photo up on Actors Access. All very easy!
