This is my non-technical opinion. I don't see any trouble with your hair. It doesn't appear to be falling out of shape, and a lot of women wear that short, flatter hairstyle... especially with your look. In other words, I don't see it as a deal-breaker in this pic. You look irritated. The background is very distracting. The plants are nearly in focus and are too colorful. I also don't know what the guidelines are about jewelry (I'm sure the women will chime in)... but your earrings are also a little distracting to me. You are not only very pretty... but you have such a professional, sophisticated look. And that's a good look to have in this industry. I also think the makeup work is good - no overpowering lipstick or eye shadow. It's a very natural look that accentuates your wonderful features.

If you're trying out for The Frida Kahlo Story, this is the perfect headshot. Otherwise, you'll need new ones. I'm planning a trip to Costa Rica this summer... a surfing camp and eco-destination deal in-one. I can't wait. www.robertkim.com

Barbarab The other comments are correct here: the processing on the photo is excessive and gives your skin a highly unnatural look. The plants behind you are distracting. That said, you do have a great look and I'm sure you will be successful in getting some excellent new shots.

I agree about the eyebrows. I really like that you have left part of your eyebrows full, which helps to define your features. But since they are so thin at the ends it gives a "tadpole" effect. It would look more natural if you tweezed less on the ends. I agree you don't need earrings. The hair looks fine to me. I really like how soulful and candid this photo is - I think it does a good job of capturing a person. This is a great portrait, but for a headshot I would just say a little bit of a smile would help or a twinkle in the eyes, and I might ask your photographer to shoot you from slightly above. You have lovely features and are just beautiful. I'm sure you will get a shot you love.

It's better to regret what you've done than what you haven't.
