I agree with lmarrie. There are some technical problems with these and I would opt for a re-shoot if I were you, though I know how costly that is. The dark shirts with your dark hair and dark eyes are just too much. You are very handsome but these don't seem to capture you too well- you don't look completely comfortable with the photographer.

Please remember that no one in this business has a crystal ball. Every single person you ask will give you a different answer.

The thing about a headshot is - it's very much like a resume for a job. It gets you called in or not - once you are in the door, it's up to you.

If these shots get you in any doors or even open some, you could be on the right track. If they don't you may have to start over.

If any of us knew positively, without a doubt something would work or wouldn't..well that's an obvious answer.

I would also like to add that if you look at your mouth in the three where your mouth is open, you will see the shape of your mouth is exactly the same in all of them. Is that what you want?

Go to photographer's sites and look at the shots, really see the faces, the expressions, the connections. See what the camera sees..can you see into the personality of the subject. Does the subject connect with the camera? Do you get a feeling when you see the expression? What are the eyes telling you?

Use 3 and 4 for your comp card. Ask for a re-shoot, you seem washed out in a lot of the pics. A genuine close up of your head with a genuine smile saying "hi there, sell me!" would have done you a world of good. In these pics, you are torn between smiling and not, and it shows, not in a good way. You look indecisive and that could spell 'I'm a sucker' to some people. I suggest you practice in front of the camera or bring a trusted friend that won't make you feel weird taking pictures, and they will indicate while standing behind or beside the photographer what works on your face before the camera takes a shot. Just my two cents.

Thanks for all the input!

I'm not really in love with any of these. I'm gonna bite the bullet and get new shots next week.

You could definitely do better, but I definitely get the feeling that you're a nice and warm guy from these photos. And very handsome.
