Wouldn't trust any site ranking site. I'm sure the photographers there all had to pay to be there. And I wonder if anyone would be turned down if he/she was willing to pay.

thank God I never had to go through this.

OK first of all, don't look at CraigsList.
Esp if you are a woman. Please.
Go to GOOGLE, search professional photographers, look at their website, ask for references.

Get info.

I'm saying I never had to deal with this because a close friend of mine is a pro photographer. Anyone in maryland/va seeking a photographer ask me.

You are going to get what you pay for!!! I went to a cheaper photographer and had to redo my headshots a second time. Possibly save up your money and just be patient until you can pull the funds together.

Here's the photographer I used and she is fantastic. She was recommended by some noted actor friends of mine.

call art schools in los anageles with a photography dept. students look through books of pictures submitted to gain experience for themselves... if this does not apeeal to you, youre just going to have to save and get good pics. the pics get you thru doors, and i cant stress enough how important they are. also, lacasting.com has a great list of photographers.
