Thanks! (I'm so happy that so far everyone is unanimous on No. 5 - it makes it easier if everyone thinks the same one is best!)
I have a question (and forgive me for ignorance, I'm new so I have a LOT to learn!): why is a non-smiling shot the right one for TV/film? I know that adult headshots sometimes have that serious/intense look, but it seems odd to me that a non-smiling or serious expression would work for a little girl's headshot. Any thoughts? Thanks!

I dont know the WHY really. All I know is I had a lot of GREAT pics of my child smiling and for legit the agent took the serious one, which I didnt really like. Maybe KIPMIL could help out here a little better!!!

It's not odd at all its actually the norm. All the kids bring their non-smiling shot to feature film auditions and shows with a dramatic tone.
The smiling ones or better yet a shot that shows character are used for commercial auditions because that's usually what the CD or client is looking for.
A good dramatic shot can help your agent get your daughter into some really great feature film auditions - it's a worthwhile investment if that is the route she hopes to take.
Good luck and I too think #5 is the one I would choose for a commercial shot.

I think this shoot only had smiling shots (I just assumed "cute little girl, should be smiling," LOL), so maybe we'll go back and have some "serious, non-smiling ones" done. Thanks again for the advice!
