You can literally google this and get about a million things, but Ill help you out anyway. You wanna try to grasp the agent or managers attention right away by keeping it short concise and to the point while making your message very clear about what you want and what you have to offer. Just make sure you write their ambitions, goals, and desire for wanting to be an actor and be honest. Agents are people just like me and you and do not want to waste their time reading a long masterpiece when the child it is about might not even know how to act. Hopefully that helps! Tom
Oh and here's a link to a page that "could" help you out. Getting an Agent

After checking out the site you suggested, it appears to be another scam site offering misleading information (the cover letter sample is inadequate), using the Disney logo and name to suck people in, links to generalized non-industry related sites, adds for other scam companies like exploretalent and onesource and charging for consulting services. I'm sorry, but I would not recommend this site to anyone, especially when you can get all the correct information for free here on backstage, bizparentz.org or in any of the business of acting books suggested on this board.

For children you can include a "brief" paragraph about their interests, skills or hobbies. Even if they are very young, you can say things like they are very outgoing, even with strangers, they sing or play-act all the time, they taught themselves a certain song such as the national anthem at age 3, whatever little special things that give a glimpse into their personality and tell a bit about themselves. But remember, keep it short and sweet.

Haha that's why I wrote "could"... I know the site is fishy, but I grab the few useful pieces of advice, that pass my common sense test, and use what I can. Sorry I did not mean to advertise that site in any way and I would never recommend most of the information that is given on there to anyone. Good luck though and yea listen to mom she knows what she's talking about lol!
