Hi Everyone,

I am new to the boards, but love them so far, they are sooo helpful. I am having a very difficult time trying to choose my headshots. Can you take a look and give me opinions on what is good for commercial and for theatrical and help me narrow it down. Also, thoughts on age range and roles would be great as well. Thanks so much!

I'm not too crazy about these.

The red 50s housewife dress is too distracting and too limiting for someone like you.

No to 0570 and 0022. My eyes go elsewhere.

Thanks for your reply. Someone like me?? Can you elaborate? LOL. Just to make sure you saw--there were 3 pages, did you see all of them? Maybe I should narrow them down more and then repost? What are your thoughts on age range/casting? Thanks again so much!

You look way too young to be playing a 50's Housewife.

And only saw the first page, so my earlier critiques are towards your first page.

Page 2

-NO to cowboy hats!

-NO to weird poses (1580 for example)

-The white camisole top is not very flattering on you.

-The business shots would have been good if you didn't have the distracting lamp or distracting background in general.

Page 3

The sexy 80s style sweater is not going to help you.

Of these, 0219 is probably your best. I'd crop it a little above your crossed arms.

well, lessons learned! Thanks for the "too young" comment, I am probably a lot older than you think. Thanks for the feedback, I appreciate it.

personally, i don't like any of these. i usually don't comment on headshot posts, but i have to admit, i really don't like these. there are one or two that could work if cropped, but could, not definitely. i'd ask for a reshoot, or find someone else to shoot with. JMO

So, what would I specifically ask to be changed if I asked for a reshoot? I probably won't go with a reshoot, to be honest, I've lost a little faith in the photog now and I think it would show. So, at some point I will just have to get new pics all together.
Thanks

A lot of the things that are going wrong in these photos can be avoided by reading this:

I wasn't crazy about any of your shots.

Lighting is off...composition is a little strange...distracting elements...

I think you can do much better!
