Hoods are a big "No-No." The sweater also makes it difficult for an agent/cd to properly determine what body type you are based solely on this pic.

That color looks great on you though, and I love the expression! Maybe you could use this for a website or postcard kind of thing.

NO she could not. You are obviously new with that sort of advice.

I think that's pretty harsh. I'm new to the backstage forum, not to the industry.
And I don't think it would HURT her to use as a non-headshot, but as something supplemental like on the photogallery portion of her website, if she decides to get one.
Actandsing, get the most out of what you have, find a positive use for them. I'm not advocating using this as a headshot, just pointing out that when life gives you lemons, you should make them into lemonade and squeeze 'em until you've gotten everything positive you can out of them. And don't let any harsh comments on this board get you down-- you did your job in these photos, but your photographer did not.
Miss stone-- limit the personal attacks. It's fine to disagree, but you don't need to be rude.

That was a personal attack? God how funny. You need thicker skin if you consder that a personal attack, darlin'. Welcome to the boards. Being blunt is not rude- it is just that- BLUNT. Noone with years of experience would recommend a hoodie photo for a postcard mailing which is what you suggested. The photo is useless. Noone with years of experience would be so overly sensitive either. The biz toughens you up. Roll Eyes

If you're going to give advice, make it good advice. I remember you. You were the one who told Cayce or Actandsing to try find a way to remove Kevyn Major Howard's name that he hides within his "work." Doing that can lead to a lawsuit.

And as usual, I agree with Miss Stone. This hoodie photo would make a worthless postcard photo. When you make a postcard to send to CDs/agents, you want to have the SAME headshot that you sent out to the CD/Agent on the postcard. That headshot that you send out of course is your best headshot. Hoodie one is obviously not the best.
