I was thinking of trying to follow this vampire trend... I'm very pale and I've been cast as a vampire three times in the last 5 years. I've also noticed this huge vampire craze with Twilight and True Blood and soon to be Buffy again (yey) as well as a million other smaller films that want to bank on it too.
So I was thinking of maybe printing up about 25 headshots just for this type, but I wanted your opinion on which photo to choose.
So here are my candidates:
1
2
3
Or will my current standard work well enough?
Danke!!

I personally think that's a good idea, and was planning on doing the same thing once I get new headshots done. There are even more vampire movies and shows being produced as we speak, which is great, because I happen to love vampires.
I love your current headshot (gorgeous!), but I think the smile is too "sweet" for the vampire genre. The other shots you posted have a more intense vibe that is better suited for those types of roles.
I think either picture 1 or 2 would be good to have printed up specially for vampire roles.

Your eyes are kinda spooky! What an unusual color. They look like a cat's eyes. For a moment I wondered if you were wearing contacts for a gimmick.
That's pretty cool though, and at the same time attractive. I would cast you as a hot vampire based on your coloring alone, but the headshot works for other stuff too.

The two best choices for these particular roles are the first two examples.
Correct headshot selection is all about proper intention, and SparklingAriel explained that best.
The "spooky" look of this photograph, Lonni Delane, is a direct result of shooting with natural light (more than likely shot in a car port or garage to block the blinding rays of the sun, with the door left open). Natural light shooters prefer using sunlight because of it's effects.
In this case, it severely shrinks the pupils of the eyes, intensifying the color and giving it that artificially boosted (or "spooky") appearance. Women and models tend to prefer this kind of lighting because it makes their eyes glow, and tends to blow-out the skin texture, creating a flawless skin tone better suited to editorial looks. But with natural light, you must make compromises, which means you must take the good with the bad. While it accomplishes the task extremely well, blowing-out the skin tones also wipes out your cheekbones, flattening the face in the process. You can attempt to "create" the lost cheekbones with makeup, but you never get those wonderful facial contours back again.

I like the second shot as a vampire, but number one as the beautiful girl who falls in love with the vampire. Either shot is alluring and has that sensual mystery required for vampire moves. Ps- Buffy movie?! Awesome!!!!

Hey, thanks everyone I'm glad everyone thinks this is a good idea.
I wish Roberto or Truthteller would comment, as they are the only people I think that have seen me in person.
Reason being because I think the second shot sort of gives me a longer face, and when I look in the mirror my face is very square, like the first shot. I don't want to send in something that doesnt look like me...
I do think the second shot looks more vampiric... The first is more open with a slight something
I'll have to figure this out soon.
Robert: For me I prefer natural. I have had them both and when photographers do studio they always try to make me look tanner... which I'm fine with being pale and so it's sort of strange. Even with these shots they were shot on "warm" tone so I look a little darker, but not much. But it was a good idea because if it was just normal I would be BRIGHT... I kind of glow blue in the sunlight.
...and I have a skin condition that makes me bleed when in the sunlight too long...
Maybe I am a vampire????

You MUST use one with that little hole in the middle of your lips, like picture 3. It looks like you have a permanent blood-sucking thing going on. Photoshop a bigger hole if you don't use picture 3.

Originally posted by FaithLove: Lonnie: I do tweeze, but I never make them thin. Thick eyebrows is a subconscious sign of youth.
After seeing Lourdes' eyebrows (Madonna's daughter), I tend to agree!
Addendum: If vampires are truly your forte, you may wish to consider a more "gothic" tone to you next photos-- more moody lighting, and avoiding "bright and happy" wardrobe selections. Try it and see.
P.S.-- Bleeding in the sunlight is definitely a sign of vampirism. Stay away from crucifixes and Italian food.
