I visited a photographer to day and during our conversation the topic inregards to my hair came up.. .. i specifically got my hair done for my photos and am worried due to the fact that this isn't my normal stlye. I genarally wear my hair in box braids (last ten years)... should i wear box braids in my head shots... I just breaking into the there fore most of my understanding is coming from this forum and other sites on the net and i am a little confuse as to what i should do..,.. It was recommended by the photographer to wear my hair in the stlye i usually wear it. Understanding that your head shot is a dynamic marketing tool in this business i will like to market myself on a universal level..And not limit to the urban type of character.. Am i thinking too hard about this matter or do i have a valid point. should i take the advice of this photographer/actress.

Had a consult.. with Donje photograhers as well as bill strong both seem have great vibes from both however Donjes seems like more warm, inviting, solid and infromative. has anyone had any experience working with them in regards to headshots...
dennis kwan haven't had the oppurtunity to meet him however his photos are stunning... very impressed have any one work with him as well.

In the meantime, the easy answer I have for you is instead a question: why not both?

You should arrive at your session with your hair freshly "done," and toward the session's end put it up in braids for the remaining shots.

Whichever photographer you choose should be cool with that -- in fact, it'd be fun! I can't see doing it any other way
