I know it's pretty plain, but do you think the weird black curtain/ shadow/ stray hairs are too distracting? When I submitted the file to the printer I couldn't see them, but now in the proof they are glaring at me but I don't know if I'm being overly critical.

The black background is the least of your worries.

This is primarily a hair and makeup issue.

Blondes have notoriously fine hair, making styling vitally important. Your makeup was not done by a qualified professional,
and didn't bring out your best qualities. The lighting made your perfectly-shaped face look flat and expressionless, in spite
of your good energy.

You're a beautiful girl, you need a headshot that will reflect that.

Uggghhh!!!!!Headshots are not the place to cut corners!!!!Go to the websites of professional photographers (some like Robert above have their info handy for you to see) and see what everyone else is doing. You'll get it right quickly then. Good luck.
