Mel here! I'm comin back to the states and I gotta get headshots ! I'm thinkin of doin them here cuz they cost a lot less , but i wanted to know what you think of these:

so that is not the correct style headshot for america that wouldn't be good enough?

1. They are to be in color, not black and white. That is industry standard right now.
2. They are very posed, too modelly and not real.
3. Your hands are in the way in a lot of them and it is distracting and hands in the picture irritates many people I have found.
3. There are lots of shadows present- also a bad thing.
4. You are trying too hard to go for the pretty look and it's not that you aren't pretty but every girl that comes to LA tries to be the babe. Their headshots all blur together in an agent's office when they are sorting through them. You need to focus more on what parts you could play and try and capture that. Make your self stand OUT.
5. Don't cock your head to the side either.
