Oh my goodness, she's lovely, but my first impression from this photo was... a young mom, a med student, an intern in a law office or rookie cop. To me, she does not look 14. It's important that headshots be age appropriate to the the actor's age and the roles submitting for.

Your daughter is really gorgeous, but neither of these shots are your best choice for a couple of reasons. Fourteen is a tough age to get started because 18 year olds typically play 14 year olds. Here is a link to a great thread for Teens by Mominbiz which will explain this further. http://bbs.backstage.com/eve/f...611031/m/6061061/p/1Some thoughts: She looks much older than 14 in these pictures. As childacts said, generally, kids should look younger than their age. So, get a couple of shots with no/or little makeup and a cleavage reducing top. There are a couple of TV shows that film in NY that use teens - the big ones being - Gossip Girl and Ugly Betty. Watch these shows and see what the girls are wearing. Personally, I would get a shot of her in the Gossip Girl 'goes to school' type of shirt/tie that they wear. Subtle makeup. Rich, but not sexy. Welcome to the backstage boards!

She's beautiful, and I see a "star" in that kind of face. The clothing makes her look like 16-18, and her hair ages her to 20-24. She looks young in the face, and I can tell she's around the mid teens, but more like 16, but that hair is just too old fashion looking. Something I would expect another decade ago, or on an older woman. http://mediabeta.timeoutnewyor...Philicia-rashad.jpg?The make up, it's right for a different age group, but on her makes her too womanly. Depending on the direction you are going, what type cast are you aiming for? If she has the looks of a 16 year old, more than a 14 year old, than you could go away from the norm and gain those type of roles. I wouldn't recommend it though, but I believe even if she did try to look less mature she will still look a couple years older than her age group. Cleavage is a no-no, but this picture is really great quality.

She is beautiful. It's a great picture, but what childacts said is right. Who was the photographer, if you don't mind me asking?

I would also look at the popular Disney stars right now for some direction on an age appropriate look.
