This is a decent headshot. I think you could have used a little powder to keep the shine down on your face and the image could be cropped a little tighter. Otherwise it looks good. You're only getting background work? What kind of acting training or experience do you have? What does your resume look like?

I love your look. Kind of reminiscent of a young Michael Madsen. Anyone who's read my posts knows of my aversion to shooting outdoors. Here is yet another good example... the outdoor location (open shade) has caused you to blend into the background, the reflected sunlight making your eyes more squinty than mine are! A great headshot could transform your entire career. www.robertkim.com

I do agree with you to apoint my eyes do not naturally open wide but i find locations pics more interesting to the viewer.
Thanks for bringing up the point of "interesting locations." I've wanted to comment on that subject for a long, long time. First off, I would like to bring attention to the major difference between FASHION HEADSHOTS and HEADSHOTS FOR ACTORS. "Fashion" headshots are all about selling the clothes. "Acting" headshots are all about selling the actor. It's that simple. Fashion is about selling FANTASY, and exotic locations always help promote that. Have you ever seen a fashion photo where the subject is posing naked on an tropical beach, or has the Eiffel Tower in the background, or is standing next to an expensive luxury car? It may look great, but they're selling the PLACE and the PRODUCT, not the PERSON. Therein lies the difference. For an actor, I strive for just the opposite -- by always using plain, clean backgrounds that will never steal focus or upstage the actor. You don't want the casting director to say, "Hey, nice LOCATION!!!" P.S.-- I would classify you as an Character/Leading Man, Patrick. www.robertkim.com

To be clear, I meant soaps AND cop shows too, not just soaps- i.e. NYPD Blue, CIS, SHARK etc.
