This shot is gonna cause trouble...

It's the same as the last shot you posted, only there is one small difference...You are NOT looking into the camera!!!

I'm curious to see your Avatar shot, from what I can see it looks like a decent headshot.

1. You look naked!

2. Like David said, you're eyes are NOT looking into the camera. You're NOT James Dean!

Clearly whoever did your make-up and hair did a great job. Do you have that shot, only looking at the camera? I think it would make a great theatrical if you were only looking at the camera.

You're adorable and it looks like you picked a solid photographer. However, how he slipped this shot onto your CD is beyond me. This is why I delete these shots before handing over the goods. Too many actors don't get it and end up posting them for the world to see, implying it's the photographers fault. Too bad. Anyway, I echo what's already been said. You want to engage with the Agent or casting director immediately, which means, direct eye contact. Looking off camera is amateur hour for industry standard headshots.

Good luck Smiler

Oh - and I can't see you as a redhead, brunette either. Guess you're stuck as a blond. It looks very natural, though, so I can't imagine an agent or CD looking over you as just another...

Looking away from the camera is ok for certain types of shots. For looking-away shots a simple guideline I kind of use is to look in the same direction as your nose.

got it.

I work at a talent agency and well all of the "guidelines" set seem to be broken by all of the talent pool represented.

The "naked" shot, the not looking at the camera. I so appreciate everyone's comment as they are for my benefit, it's just confusing when what I see going out is exactly what isn't the "right way".
