I need to buy some clothing for my headshot shoot. Specifically I need a blue top, textured, with a boat neck--looking for royal blue and/or cobalt blue.

Can anybody suggest some stores in Manhattan that would carry these kind of tops and dresses? As we all know, it can't have too busy a pattern. Are there any stores or online places that any of you photographers recommend to your client? Just did a google search and I can't seem to cough up the kind of items I'm looking for. . .

You know that you can go to places like Macy's or Nordstroms, leave the price tags on during the shoot, and return them.

Yes, I was going to do that. A few weeks ago I went to an Ann Taylors and a Talbots-neither place had what I was looking for. Grrr.

I've never had a talent or knack for shopping, one reason why I'm starting now.

Forever21 usually has nice stuff, a lot ot choose from, and is cheap.

Try shopping on victoria's secret, they have a lot of solid / plain tops for reasonable prices.
