I recently shot this as part of personal project and I'm gunning for some feedback so I can make plans as what to do with it next. Many of you will probably recognize the play it's from. We did it on stage a while back but it seemed like a shame to let a lot of that work go without being put on tape to some degree. If it were from a film (I'm aware of the film adaptation btw) I wouldn't have bothered since that means people with any familiarity already saw it done best. At any rate I would just like to hear some opinions before I make use of this.

Hi Drew,
I think you could definitely include this as part of your reel; while the production quality isn't stellar you have some very good moments and you can certainly make a niche for yourself with that archetypical story. Actually, as part of my reel, I have the Evelyn/Jenny scene from a student adaptation. Since it was adapted, and by Labute himself on all fronts nonetheless, it's hard to pass off as any thing else besides an example of your work. I might cut it, if I were you, to mainly showcase the end of the scene, as you're definitely stronger there. Towards the beginning you seem more focused on portraying "hurt" and emoting than actually communicating and affecting Evelyn, which is where the conflict, and thus the drama occurs.
Overall I think it showcases you. So definitely share it with CDs, agents, directors, producers, anyone you can give it to.
Best of luck!

i'm not a huge fan of the actress, try to cut her out. but it is a good scene, shows you can work on camera, so go for it. as you do better quality things, you can take it off the reel Smiler good job!
