My horrible un-professional experience with Face Studios
I consider myself to be a very trustworthy individual. Over the years pursuing acting I have seemed to have grown a thicker skin. Acting is hard industry to break into. We put our faith in people hoping that they will not take advantage. Over the years the more I have been trying to succeed someone is lurking in the dark taking advantage of the small amount of knowledge I have.
Face Studios seemed like a very pleasant place (on the outside). They told me things I wanted to hear such as my information will be submitted to agencies. Although its been a year I still have not gotten any calls.
To make things worse, it took almost a year for me to get the headshots I ordered from them. The only reason I ordered was because my hopes were in getting representation. I was dumb to not research and get more information about Face Studios. Blinded by hopes I made one of the worst decisions I have ever made in my entire life.
To get straight to the point, I made a down payment early November. During the next several months no one let me know what was going on with my pictures. I was the one who sent follow up e-mails and phone calls, even though Face Studios should have taken these actions. They showed no care for me as a customer. (That should of been a warning sign). Finally I got a call in March. It was four months later. They asked for the remaining balance. My assumption was that I should be getting the pictures in a couple weeks. Boy was I wrong. Several months went by. Now it was the month of May. At this point I was irritated. I had been on numerous auditions and I had no appropriate pictures to use.
Soon May turned into June. I had been e-mailing and calling to find out what was going on. They told me there wasn’t a tracking number for my pictures, which I thought was ridiculous. Eventually they told me my pictures were returned to sender, for unknown reasons. I said that I could stop by and pick up the pictures, but they insisted on doing over night delivery. Over night delivery never happened. I ended up getting my pictures one month later (the very end of July).
The only reason I think they arrived was because I disputed the charge with the credit card company. Even though I disputed the charge, they wanted me to re pay for the pictures. Pictures that were no longer of use to me since I drastically changed my hair. (It had been almost a full year).
Since I am such a nice person I said that I would pay for 1/2 and they would take care of the other 1/2 payment. After telling me that, I was at this point glad to be finished with this company. Now at the end of August I get a letter from my credit card company mentioning that Face Studios re submitted the charge. I am not happy.
Those perusing the entertainment industry please do not let anyone take advantage of you. Many will try to do so since we have such high hopes and dreams putting trust in others who are scavenging for their next victim.

yeah, its just a shame when a business does not have any compassion to fellow people in the industry. Please tell as many as you can if any one asks about Face Studios.
Thanks for reading my post.

You'll find it's not just businesses but people in general.
