Hi all, DD was recently cast in two student films. The first one is done shooting, the second started but still ongoing. Question, when do I include them on her resume? Is it ok to list the project that is not completely finished shooting? Thanks in advance for your help.

You list jobs the moment you are booked.

Should "Student Films" be listed under their own header on a resume?

Or right under "Film" along with the more legitimate stuff?

Morgin's got it!

On an ACTING resume these are the basic headings that should be on there:

-Film
-Television
-Theatre
-Commercials
-Training
-Special Skills/Abilities

I can't remember where I read this, maybe Bonnie's column, but I read when you list the director for a student film you put a slash / then the school.

You can, but DON'T have to.

I think it's safer to just list it as you would any other film.

What if the agent or CD went to UCLA but sees that you've done A LOT of student films at USC?

It goes under film. Yes, list the director/USC or whatever school. Don't let silly things like worrying about where the director of your next audition went to school. I know student and established directors that go to different schools and they all support each other. It's really not an issue. Always be honest on your resume to avoid potential problems later.

If you were featured prominently in the music video, then you should list it (don't worry about the "speaking" thing, it's a MUSIC video). I put a young actress in a music video and it really helped launch her career......
