I had posted raw, unretouched files of my kids' headshots when they were first taken, but these are the final, retouched versions. What do you think? (As always, honest opinions please!)

Your son's pictures are pretty good. Prefer the first one though. The pattern of the shirt in the second one is distracting. I am hoping these are small files and that the real ones are brighter.
I don't think these pictures do anything for your daughter. Her hair looks unhealthy and like it needs a trim. Cds like to see a cleaner look. Of the two, the second is better in my opinion.

Thanks for the feedback! Yeah, my daughter's hair gets messy so FAST. Right after I brush it, it looks great...for about 30 seconds. Then it gets messy-looking again. So frustrating!
(It's funny, my son's shirt was actually just a solid blue shirt - somehow in posting the pic to the board, it came out looking warped like there's a design on it, but there wasn't. On the actual headshot it looks normal. Weird!)
Thanks again for the honest opinions! I appreciate it!

Don't worry, it's just the bit rate that caused the pattern. It doesn't show on his Backstage resume...(Thought he looked familiar) I like the landscape shot better myself. Nice looking kids.
Thanks for the input! (One thing I definitely realized is that next time we get headshots, I'm going to make a point of insisting that they not be standing RIGHT against the wall! I've learned that the background should be, well, in the background, not focused on!)
