You're a good looking gal and this picture does NOT do you justice! It looks like you shot this yourself with your arm streched out. Good for myspace but NOT for this industry.

You NEED professional shots if you're going to be serious. For each cheap actor out there there are a 100 actors seriously investing in their careers.

You're in L.A. so go to Reproductions.com and look through the photographer books.
Find photographers that photograph people like you well ie. Skin tone, hair color, eye color, ethnicity, age range, physical structure, etc. Choose your top 5 and meet with ALL of them! You want to get their philosophies and their personalities. You certainly don't want to work with someone whose personality sucks for you.

You have "the look" enough... you kind of have my type which makes me feel competitive, grr.

But on the side of being nice, you should drop the 300-400 and get real headshots if you actually want to get $$$$.

Don't do your lips like that ever. If we can see the lipliner, it doesn't work.

You have great eyes that will photograph beautifully if done properly. I would suggest that you not use this shot, it will not help you.

Eldorado's advice to meet with several photographers is excellent. It is important to have a good rapport with your photographer. If you get along well with him/her, you will relax, have fun ... and the result will be great shots!

Why would I lie about what kind of makeup I am wearing? I'm very into makeup, but I've never worn lipliner.

not to argue about whether or not you're actually wearing lipliner, it does look like you are, and that you outlined outside your natural lip-line... but it's possible it's your gloss and that it "bled" so to speak... what I usually do after applying lip-products is to go around my lipline with a q-tip to "clean it up"

and I agree, your eyes are beautiful.
