Does the size of your resume/headshot have to strictly be an 8x10, or can it be 81/2 x 11, a regular sheet of paper?

Always 8x10

Anything bigger will just really annoy people.

8x10 is the standard, but it is not set in stone. A few agencies like Osbrink in LA use 8.5x11. The important thing is to be sure that whatever size you use, that both the headshot and resume look professional and are the "same" size.

Seems to me like if the resume was larger then the rest it wouldn't fit well in the stack with the others.

But maybe that is the agency's idea... to stand out. Questionable.

Mominbiz, is that true about Dakota Fanning having a larger picture/resume?

This I did not know (but why would I, I didn't even know Osbrink had larger ones).

Any clients of Osbrink use 8.5x11. I was just using DF as an example of a successful actress using this size, per her agent's request.

I always cut my resumes to match the size of the 8 X 10 photo. It just makes it easier on the life of those filing your photo, and it looks neat and professional.
