I saw a link on here a while back, but in doing a search I can't seem to locate it again.

Does anyone know of a place that will take your headshot and really make it pop? Not looking to have anything specific done, other than just bring out the feel and quaility of the image more...

Any decent headshot duplicating house can do this for you.

There are many techniques to accomplish this, but your photo must be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

If you're doing lithos though, you're SOL.

The link I saw a few months back wasn't one of the repro places I usually use though....it was more specific to simply making the images stand out more and that was it...from what I remember, it wasn't even a reproduction site...damn, I wish I would have bookmarked it...

If I have to go that route, do you (or anyone else) have a personal recommendation for a repro place that you know does a really good job at it?

Reproductions and Modernage are the top players in NYC.

Not having seen your headshots, I couldn't accurately say, but if your picture isn't very good to start with, I wouldn't recommend that you take them to an expensive place at all. It would be a total waste of money.

Your photographer should have given you a perfect, reproduction-ready photo in the first place. A photo that "popped."

Having to rely on (and pay!) a print shop to do the job your photographer should have performed is never a good idea.

Robert, I know what you mean...BUT...I just wanted to see if some color correction, and making the eyes stand out a little more would help the shot out a bit...I could be completely off-base...for all I know it could get overdone and the kid will come out looking like Joan Rivers.

Next time, we come to you for the perfect headshots...as soon as the kids teeth grow back in...lol...really, you're on the list...

Anyone with basic Photoshop skills can easily perform this for you.
