I'm reading "The White Devil" by John Webster. It's for a theatre audition that I have tomorrow afternoon (2nd theatre audition this year). Those who don't know who he is, he's around Shakespheare's time/a little after.

That's pretty interesting, skeeterkitty. It is a fascinating story, and quite a dark playwright! It's not nearly as well known as Duchess of Malfi, but probably deserves to be produced more. What role are you reading? Break a leg!

I messed up my monologue. I changed from a comedy monologue to dramatic (classical) one(within the last week). I would have liked to have auditioned for Zanache (if I was called back). I was telling my mom and I guess she was saying I don't look like any of the characters-I look too Hanna Montanna-ish. I don't look like I'm bad/evil type of character.

Right. Well, despite Hannah M's recent gaffe with her art photos, she does still look pretty innocent. But then again...that is what makeup is for. Probably a more important question is, can you sound & act evil when required to? Choosing the right monologue and being prepared to do it are common problems for actors. If you don't have a coach, try to take a class or get some advice on how to make that work better next time. Good luck!
