I am looking for a play....it can be about anything but I'm thinking a love story....I have to perform a scene but I'm having trouble finding something. I read a ton of plays but I just can't find anything. I'm looking for a female, mid twenties..... The last show I did was Glass Menagerie as Laura....I tend to play the shy types. Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated!!

Red Coat in the collection Welcome to the Moon by John Patrick Shanley might be good.

A Taste of Honey might be worth checking out. Shelagh Delaney is the author. Or Butterflies Are Free by Leonard Gershe.

The Owl and the Pussycat isn't exactly a "shy" character, but it would be a nice one-eighty. Also, look at Fool for Love by Sam Shepard.
