Are other schools out of the question? I heard Santa Monica College has an excellent acting program (where actors like Dustin Hoffman studied), and it's just $20 per unit, so you're looking at about $240/year as a part time student and $480/ year as a full time student.
Since many actors lie about where they train or have truthfully trained at known school but end up still performing horribly, CDs in LA don't usually care about where you study. Their main concern is you giving them a good cold read or monologue performance, so you might as well get solid training at a price you can afford. Because trust me, you don't want loaners on your back once you graduate: many people never get out of that hole we call debt.

Not to be rude, but based on the writing skills you have exhibited in this post, you need to take the other classes, matter of fact make them your priority.

At SMC you can take any class you want and as little units as you want, but if you want an Associate degree at some point then you do need to take some General Ed. courses.
But yeah if you don't want a degree and only seek training then you have total freedom in your choice of classes.

Anyways don't worry about what she said, but writing skills do matter. Anyways I was thinking about this today and realize that paying something you can afford is wiser. Realistically that is going to lead to huge debt. I am planning to go there but live cheaply until I am done. If there's a will there's a way.

You need writing skills for writing cover letters to CD's and Agents when doing mailings. Also, you can write your own material, IE one-person show, screenplay, etc. Or you can even freelance as a writer while pursuing your acting career.
