I have heard again and again the benefits of becoming a personal trainer. You meet people, you get a free gym membership, you're forced to keep in shape, you make good money, you have a flexible schedule. I'm going to check it out some more, but here's the question... Yoga, Pilates, or just general trainer?

Thanks for the advice.

Personal trainer. Per 24 Hour Fitness- Group exercise trainers start at about $15 an hour. A personal trainer is $20 something AND they are at the gym longer so that hourly adds up AND they get a commission from what they sell as far as training packages goes. Go to the 24 hour fitness website and they will tell you which schools "qualify" for you to study at. It is home studying FYI. Lots of those 24 hour fitness gyms everywhere so maybe you have a good chance. I am probably doing it too soon.

I am a Tier 3 (top level) trainer at Equinox where we get $33. a session. You do about 5-8 sessions mon thru fri then you make a great amount of paper.

BUT I made a decision to leave in January after 5 years of service. The good thing is 90% of my clients are coming with me to train privatly which means whatever they paid at the gym, I'm gonna get 100% at a private gym. So I'm making ten times more money, work less and focus on my production company more.

Personal training is worth it but you gotta hustle first. Dont expect handouts.

Damian-

I am HAPPY to hustle. Exactly how does one do that? Examples of any hard but effective ways would be VERY appreciated. I have worked hard for everything and never expect to do anything less than that but I do need some direction occassionally. Smiler
