Well, this is what I am doing right now to pay the bills.

I don't actually live in LA any more but I still have bills to pay, including that expensive SAG card I just had to get. I thought this would be a creative way to earn some money, that way people are getting something for their handout. A friend of mine did a fundraiser, and basically gave everyone coupons for work to be done for different denominations. Like "Free Beer at my house" 5$, Body Massage 20$, etc, etc. I think anything you do to make money while you are out in LA is good enough, well besides maybe the illegal ways.

Well at the current price that they are, I am not making any money. Since this auction comes with the receipt anyone who gets them at this price would find that out. Its more like, what money can I recoup off of these. If I were to continue on in acting I would need to get new ones anyway most likely. I would never, ever, ever get 300 again. 100 is plenty for one look, etc.

A friend of mine sells autographed copies of his headshot as well as a headshot type creepy character shot of him holding a knife on Ebay.

He has been in some stuff, but is not really famous at all. And low and behold...he sells a few sometimes.

And everytime he does it, he notices a HUGE spike in his IMDB star meter. How about that?

Some dismiss it as tacky and weird...but this and some other similar stuff have actually landed him some gigs. I actually got to be friends with him because I wrote an e-mail that his self-publicity antics amused me when I came across some of his stuff on IMDB. We have since acted together in 3 features and a short!

Fake it til you make it I guess!

Most people here won't remember the disgraceful episode a few years ago that makes Tweetergate look like an episode in an old Disney film.

A secretary for a Warner CD ("assistant" when she was doing workshops and cashing in on her employer's rep) took actor submissions and sold them on ebay. Where, apparently , she made several thousand a month. Until Billy DaMota busted her, quite publicly.

Nothing really prevents people from doing that now. And headshots are easy enough to get a hold of (just ask those "schools" that call you up and say you were "recommended".)
