Have you found in the past that summer is fairly busy? We have had a few go-sees over the last couple of weeks but not very busy. I am hoping that the activity picks up now that the holiday weekend is over. I'm assuming that most of the companies are starting to shoot holiday campaigns and that we will all start to pick up from here. Any idea if that is normally the case? Is July a typically busy month for print work? TIA!

I was wondering the same thing. We were told summer is the busy time of year but so far only one gosee and two direct bookings in the past month. We did more during the winter months when it was supposedly the slow season. It figures now that my mornings are totally free nothing is going on.

Same here. 3 of my 6 haven't gotten sent out at all the past 6 weeks. For one of my kids this week is his 1st go-see and it's through a self submission. The other 2 boys its through self submission also/ My ds was on hold for Toys R Us but never got the call back. He is sick today so it worked out for the best. Anyway its been slow for us and we are new to print.

Still not picking up here. I thought this week would be busier. Is anyone getting any go-sees or bookings yet? Hope someone is busy, even if it's not us. LOL!

From my short experience-- I believe it is busier in the winter for the younger ones and busier now for the older ones. I have a 1 year old and a 9 year old and that has been my experience so far.

My dd has been on about 2 a week in the last month She is 6. My other two daughters, 3 and 6 months have been on about 2 each in the last 2 months. I am not complaining though. Less spent on gas ;0

Looks like this is my weekly question.
 Has print work or go sees picked up for anyone yet? I thought fall and holiday stuff would start to shoot soon? BTW..if you don't want to give our details about particular clients, feel free to say if you are at least getting some calls. Thanks and good luck to all. |

we have not been overly busy(dd is in the 4-5yr old range). my agency is big in ny,so i would think that they get most if ot all of the cals. whether or not they are calling us is another story! we avg. about 1 a week for the past 2-3 weeks. and as someone else stated in this thread, less cash on gas. and yes, they are starting holiday shoots now til around september, so this is supposedly the busy season.
btw...dd booked t-r-u! first booking..hooray. not bragging, just sharing our excitement! |

Congrats on the TRU babeedee! I think most of us love hearing about successful bookings. Being excited about a booking is not bragging, it's just fantastic news.
It's easy to tell the bragging posts from the excited ones. I hope you have many more successes! |
