My daughter (she is 2) has been offered representation through a few of NY Print agents...My question is, if we signed with one and want to change our mind how hard is it? I feel like the agent we picked has not sent her out much at all, it's been a year and she's only been on 3 go-sees and had only one tiny "direct booking"...Like I said we have been offered representation by 2 other agents and I don't know what to do....She doesn't even get sent out on the "big cattle calls", it seems very strange to me....Any advice?? Also one of the other agents that wants to represent her has a commercial/tv on screen dept. and the one we are signed with doesn't...

Hi Lilybean, To answer your question Yes you can get out of the contract. Your child is two years old and you shouldn't worry about it. (that is why a lot of agencies don't have you sign a contract for print because It is very difficult to hold anyone under the age of 18 to a contract. Generation, FFT and several other agencies do not have you sign a contract. Product does however. Someone else may have more info. for you but this is just what I've experienced and what I've heard. If I were you though.... I would talk to my child's agent first and see what's going on.(ask them why your child has not been sent out. Maybe they need updated pictures. Who knows but either way at least ask them and see what they say.) You can always leave contract or NOT. Good Luck with your decision.
