Hi chmomny - a print call back is the same as an audition call back. They are seeing a smaller group of children they are interested in. Good Luck!

They may have your daughter try on clothes. That usually happens at a print callback. Good Luck.

I'm assuming, from your previous post on the Child Actor's thread that you're speaking of Gap. Yes, there's a good chance your child will try on an outfit and for sure they will take another pic. With a company like Gap the callback will have fewer kids then the original go see. However, there will still be A LOT of kids at the call back. Good Luck!! Have fun and I hope it works out for you!!

they want to have the kids try on the clothes to see how they photograph in them and then decide who they are going to book?

In my experience with the gap, they do not have the kids try on outfits at the call back and in the past the call back has been more like another cattle call. After the call back, they narrow their selections down to just a few kids and then have a fitting the day or so before the shoot. At the fitting the outfit is tailored (pinned, cut and sewn) to be a perfect fit.

Some companies do have kids try on outfits at their call backs and decide which kids to book based on how they look and fit the outfit.

Good luck!

Congrads on your ds callback! Its always great to get callbacks, unfortunatly although there will be less kids at the callback then the go-see, there still will be alot of kids being seen, specially for a big company. My ds had a callback for a verizon commercial a couple weeks ago and although it was a callback, there were still like 50 kids there. Even if he doesnt book the job, his agent or manager will like to see that hes getting callbacks so its still great! Let us know what happens! Big Grin

Not sure of your childrens ages but I would suggest not to make a big deal of the callback to them. Callbacks are great and def. show the agency bookability. My son has been on many a callback and definetely has not booked all of them. My son is older, 11, and obviously hears everything. After seeing my son sometimes dissapointed if he didn't book after a callback....we just say its another call....this way, no pressure on him.
One of the reasons why I like directs or one shot go-sees/then bookings!
So good luck on the callback, let this be the first of many and many bookings to follow!

I have a question. Typically how many callbacks before landing the actual project? 2 or 3 callbacks? That means typicall 3-4 visits before you know anything? I'm just curious. We are going to an open call for Product in Sept and they tell you in the paperwork that you may have as many gosees as 5 per week. Have any of you found this to be true? Thx!
