Hello,

I am sure this is a lot to ask; however, any information, links or suggestions to get your child started would be so helpful. We were approached by ACT for an audition; however, after more research, I am realizing that up front thousands to spend on monthly classes is plain ridiculous! My daughter loves voice, theatre, comedy, and if this is truly her passion, I want to start her off on the right approach, being an informative parent. Thank you in advance for all your replies!!

Don:t worry, you are not asking a lot. We've all been in your shoes. First of all, kudos to you for figuring out that ACT is NOT the way to go...you are right, the cost is "plain ridiculous." Here are some links to sites with lots of info on getting started. Read everything then get back to us with questions.

Great info from child actor advocates:

This should be enough to get you started. Also, use the "find" tool on this board. Lots of info can be found if you know where to look.
