I have to disagree with you...the owner does not suck, I worked with him twice during my time there. He challenges you. I just finished BC2 and I loved it. The teachers are tougher, the classes are challenging but then so is showbiz. So, if you are looking to take the easy route, you'll never be a good actor.

The owner is certainly a very unique guy. I had him as a teacher and I actually liked working with him quite a lot. He can be abrasive at times... but he's usually right.
I think BC2 is definitely all it's cracked up to be. In BC1, a lot of it is just learning about Meisner, and as I'm sure was the case in your class, some people don't get it as much as others. But in BC2, everyone there should have a good grasp of it. And then they also teach Michael Chekov, which is my favorite.

ELDO- i am reading the Meisner on Acting and plan to watch the Master DVD. I have also added the other books to my list. Thank you!
Xanandu- Thank you so much for your advice.
Iceman-We did do a lot of Meisner, some of it I understood and so of it not so much!
Although hard at first I actually enjoyed the repetitions. Do we do more repetition in BC2? Would you recommend a book to prepare for the Chekov?
Here is the plan I came up for myself, let me know if this is a good start.
1. Use up the reminder of DAW tix, maybe sign up for more DAWS! 2. complete my reading list 3. take either an imporv or commercial class
As for the owner, his is a good teacher and for most part gave clear instructions! There is nothing wrong with his method and I am more then positive his is an absolutely wonderful teacher. I just did not like his demeanor when interacting with me and the other students!
Otherwise, I think the corps is great, I am so happy I listen to you all! It was worth every penny!

Michael Chekhov's book is called "On the Technique of Acting"... though I think with Chekhov, it’s all about doing it, and seeing the results when others do it. I found the book a bit dense.
There is still some repetition in BC2, if Meisner is involved, there will always be some. But as I recall, not as much.

In terms of Chekhov, it's about getting up on your feet and doing it. The teacher guides you through the exercises. I would hold off on doing any reading until you have a basic grasp of what the technique is all about.

I am taking Book Camp One at the Acting Corps right now, and I like it a lot so far. I met with the owner before I started, and I liked him a lot too, but we are more of the same generation (I'm older then pretty much everyone in class). I haven't had him as a teacher. As of now, I think I will be taking Boot Camp Two when I'm done.

Ron V, I was the oldest in my class there too. Most of the younger ones were pretty intimidated by him and we had one drop out after him seeing how intense BCII was going to be, and that no one was going to put up with his s@@t anymore.
