Hi im Danny and im new to the board as well as acting. I was wondering if anyone knew any good coaches or schools for acting in South Florida? Judy Kerr mentions Marc Durso in her book. Anybody have any experience with him? Thanks in advance for your time.

ok so i did some serious research and i found a great acting school here in South Florida. For anyone who comes on this board looking for acting classes in SoFLA, i highlyh recomend The University Center for the Performing Arts in Davie,Fl. Hey Danny,

Well, yes.. I know Marc Durso.. he is a teacher who works with Uta Hagen's method, in Hollywood, FL.

I read her book and took a few classes with him. But the truth is that, I wasn't able to understand and/or process Uta's approach. But ofcourse, everybody is different... Not everybody understand Meisner either and I totaly get him.. it came very simple, natural and truthfull to me.

Well, Good luck in your choices... I would suggest you read Uta's book before contacting Marc. Read and inform yourself of the different approaches about the craft of acting.
