My new girlfriend is attending an acting school, and she mentioned what they are doing... it sounds like a waste of time to me.

She was told to watch the movie “United 93” (about the 9/11 plane that crashed in the field) and watch it, and then they are going to reenact the movie in class. I pointed out that it would be imitation, and not actually interpreting a script and acting. Her response was that they had done some improve in class about being on the plane. Oh, and she doesn’t know what part she will be playing.

I am now trying to figure out what school she's going to... anyone know anything about a school that's on the corner of Magnolia somewhere near Vinlend? She doesn't like to tell me much about it... but se is getting the classes for free (she says), so that's something. Iathink maybe it's more a school for models, and thay are maybe just trying toi make them feel like actors.

There's a few near the intersection of the two, but none on the corner of Magnolia that I know of. The most dubious school in the neighborhood (which I think would be perfectly capable of what you're describing) moved a month or two back. But then she could be at a place too small to notice.

why dont u just go with her to the next class as a sit insee if there legit or not

I do know more about the class now, it seems to be mostly an improve program. I guess the guy who is getting her free classes has some connections in the Telemundo market, and she has had a couple small jobs because of him. I don't think the classes have helped her. Still sounds like a bad program.

But at least it isn't Scientology.
