Hey gang- Hope all had a safe and enjoyable 4th. I wasn't sure which section this question would fit. So if this is the wrong section please accept my apologies in advance. Long story short I'm not computer savy as most Frowner. I did a U/5 on a soap a while back and for the life of me couldn't get a copy from production. Okay, well I saw the scene on tv and recorded it. Now I would like to know if anyone knows how I would go about getting it from tv to a disc now? Thxs again.

Yup. That's it. Unless you already know someone that has one. Then you won't have to buy one.

Not sure how old you are, but back in the day we used to hook up one VHS to another VHS as a means to copy VHS tapes. We put the original tape in one VHS and press 'play'... and a blank tape in the second VHS and press 'record'.

It's the same concept going from VHS to DVD.

I use a program/device called Pennacle Studio 8 and feed it directly from my TV to my computer, where I edit it with the same program, or burn it to a disc. It has been worth the investment to me as I don't have a DVD recorder.

Using VCR to PC and using VCR to DVD Recorder both have their pluses and minuses.

VCR to PC
---------
