Moderators, please relocate this to the appropriate forum. This does seem to be the most appropriate forum, though.

An amazing opportunity is now being offered by Indie-Arms, Inc. to aspiring and seasoned actors alike. Have you ever wanted to know how to realistically handle a pistol, rifle, shotgun or SMG on film? Well now you have an opportunity to learn from an experienced Weapons Handler/Armorer who has worked on Award Winning productions. Every actor should have this in their "tools of the trade" and have it added to their resume. Action movies are on the rise, and many of them require experience in weapons handling to even be considered for the role, as budgets don't allow for cast training. Why miss out on the call because your weapons training is deficient or non-existent?

The class is going to be held at UCLA and will only cost $150.00 for the entire day's training. As a thank you for allowing me to be a part of this site, mention "Backstage" in your RSVP and I will take $50.00 of the cost automatically.

Why is this valuable and potentially expensive training class being held at such a low rate? Good question. I cater to the Independent Film industry and I know things are tight for Indie actors. So in the true Indie spirit, I am going to make sure you can afford it, yet maximize what you get out of this training. You will need to bring your "A" game, though, as this will not just be any class. I am going to challenge you to new heights as an actor. I am going to put you mentally in scenarios to let you feel the intensity of the scene.

Indie Productions: Contact us for special rates for script specific training for your cast, as well as rentals, Weapons Stunt Coordination and Set Armorer/Weapons Handling services.

Topics will include:
Set Safety with Weapons
Basic Weapons Identification
Handling and Holding the Weapon Properly
Tactics for Police, Military, Special Ops, SWAT, and others
Camera Angles and the Actor with a Weapon
Demeanor and Realism

Please RSVP as soon as you can, as class seating is limited to 30. When RSVP'ing provide name, best # and time to reach you, and age. (Under 18's must be accompanied by an adult!) Props will be provided with no additional charge, so leave your bazookas and other props at home. During the class, no cameras will be allowed, but afterwards, time will be allotted for those actors/actresses wishing to take photos for their books using our prop weapons, at no extra charge. Tentative date will be July 27 and starts at 8 am SHARP!

RSVP to Indie-arms@live.com or call (909) 931-7374 in the evenings and ask for Doc (me).
