I auditioned for Michael Golden, he called me in, then I auditioned for the whole crew. They called me a few hours later and said that they want to freelance with me. Anyone know anything about their reputation or how they operate? Or other thoughts?
Thanks in advance

Freelancing you probably means "hip-pocketing you" which can be a good thing.
Basically they add you to their client roster, without having you sign a contract, and then start submitting you to see how you do.
If you do well (i.e. Casting Directors like you, you get callbacks, you book jobs), they will most like then offer you official representation and have you sign a contract with their agency.
I've heard good things, as well, so good luck! Sharon
My experience is that they didn't really do anything. I would get a reputable manager and freelance with a bunch of agencies, which is such a gift in NY.
