I have to be honest with you. I've been an L.A. agent for almost twelve years now and I've never heard of any of these companies.

Also, if you're based in Hollywood, why would you even consider representation in San Diego or Orange County? Commuting to these places for auditions and/or bookings seems like a complete waste of time when all the action is outside your front door.

I did a quick search on google and this is the first thing that popped up along with the others:

This place is a total SCAM!!!
RPM Talent Agency is a big scam. TRUST ME....STAY AWAY!!!! If I were a young starting actor, then I would steer very clear of this establishment. You will spend money and get nothing in return. Do not trust anyone at this address!!!

Be careful when you go there.....
The people here are very nice but I grew suspicious when the owner of the agency recommended I get new headshots form the "in-house photographer".
I later found that the in house photographer is the spouse of the agency owner, and all of the businesses at this address are owned by the couple.
It came off as a possible scam so I decided to go elsewhere. Hollywood can be a dangerous place. If you go here be careful.

Hey guys- I just did an interview with Variety that will be out in 2 weeks( for myself) and Children in film-(my son) I have an 8 year old who is an actor as well. RPM was voted top 3 agency in LA 2008- pretty impressive I think. I work with JD and my son works with Lynne and we have been soooooo happy. I was repped by Coast to Coast and just got lost over their after my soap opera fame of 04 died off...and I had my son with Jeremy at Abrams and same kinda thing. We joined RPM the beginning of the summer and my son has booked 2 nationals and a pretty good size role on my old soap(what a small world.) I have been auditioning like crazy- but yet to book, trying to get my game up again. I just wanted to update you all. I also had an audition for cold case a month ago and the cd went on and on about how much he loves JD and RPM, so that to me is worth alot! Good Luck!

OK. I just responded to the other post from this miraculously new poster plugging RPM:

Other "Variety" post for RPM

Never mind that that post (also from today) says the Variety article will be out NEXT week, not in two weeks...

But here's my question, plain and simple: if there's about to be an article out with Mom Who Cares and her ds, why post anonymously? Since, if such an article (or articles) is about to come out, their names will appear publicly soon enough?

It's kind of tough, huh, when you don't think these little plugs through?
