There is no easy way. A referral would help, but if you don't have that then you have to bust your ass. Maybe get into a good class and a fellow student will refer you to his/her agent. Try managers as well, since a good manager can hook you up. If you're really that hot, by all means drop off your pic(agents and managers) and be very friendly to all. Work breeds work. I got the only good agent that I ever had from a small role in an indie film. An actor on the set said that I rocked and took my pic to his girlfriend who was at a strong management firm. You need to get in their faces, especially if you're gorgeous. Don't be timid or you will be eaten alive. If you get shit doing dropoffs, so what? Just smile and walk away. Trust me, they are always looking, and somebody is bound to like a pretty young thing and see potential. There is no particular way that it's done. Just bust your ass and be persistent.
You might also check out IMDB Pro, I think that they have a 2 week trial, to see which agents might be low on your type.
In any case, it ain't easy, even for pretty...

I want to make the full transition from model to respected actress and was wondering what the best way is to go about this?
I have found that perfect looks are often an impediment to a professional actor career. It can actually make your transition to acting even more difficult. Many agents feel that models, often used to relying on their looks, are often not particularly good actors -- so, take my advice to NEVER, EVER LIST YOUR MODELING EXPERIENCE ON YOUR ACTING RESUME. As far as they're concerned, you've never modeled in your entire life. When your acting skills are up to actively pursuing film and television roles, I strongly advise studying with Milton Katselas at the Beverly Hills Playhouse. "Uncle Milton" is getting up there in age, but if you can work directly with the master, I don't know anyone more qualified to take your acting to the next level. He also teaches with Jeffrey Tambor, and when he isn't teaching in New York, George Di Cenzo, one of the finest acting coaches in America, in my opinion. Remember the "Three P's": Passion. Patience. Perseverance. If you possess these qualities in abundance, you'll get there. P.S.- Although everyone recommends never to drop-off your headshot and resume without an appointment, if you have the cojones, DO IT. I believe in the old adage: "The squeaky wheel gets the grease." You never know what will get you noticed and your foot in the door, so go for it.
