I've been with a talent agency for almost a month and I haven't been out on an audition since I've signed with them. What should I do?

You're not a victim, nor are you powerless.

You are the CEO of your own business. An agent is part of your team, but they work for you.

Contact your agent and ask why you haven't been out. Is it your headshots? Training? Credits? Find out if there is anything you can be doing to make you more marketable.

It could be that it's slow in your area, or you are a developmental client. In that case, it will take longer for your agent to get you out.

You're bitching over a month?

You're NOT alone!

June is part of the dead months where everything is slow.

July and August are when things start to pick up.

It's after 3 months where you start thinking about looking elsewhere.

Yeah everything is on Hiatus right now. I'd give it a few more months like Truthteller says. Listen to them. They know what theyre talking about. ALSO, I dont know if youre signed commercially or theatrically but it's a lot harder to be called in theatrically without any reel online. You don't have to worry about this commercially but theatrically, if you can, try to get a reel... There are many services in LA that will write, shoot and edit a scene for you so you can use it as your reel online. That's always an option there.
