Is this the company you're asking about - http://www.globaloneltd.com/? I've never heard of them and I'd like to hear more from Miss Stone...

Secret Agent Man... BizParentz has a file on Global One (which means we have more than a couple complaints). The owner is Marina Furuta, who has an interesting history as an "agent" up north. Most of our complaints stemmed from their talent "showcase", Worldwide Star Search, http://www.worldwidestarsearch.com/, which is housed at the same address as Global One (and don't you love that stock photo website, when you consider they do models for a living??). Photos, showcase, and representation are all wrapped together. Clearly a violation of the CA Advance Fee Talent Service Law, IMO. There were some discussions about Global One on another message board, and we did get contacted by one parent who said she had a positive experience with them, and that her daughter was getting out on print and non-union commercial auditions (few or no jobs if I remember correctly). I had a similar experience. I submitted for a audition on LA casting, which happened to be at Global One LTD. Once I came in, I auditioned for a host job for some kind of Korean Home Shopping Network, in english. The guy called me to tell me I didn't get the part but he wanted to call me in for a representation audition. I went in and auditioned, the guy (jaysen Kim) looked at the headshots I had, said they were all wrong, that I just needed 2 commercial headshots. That he could get me more shots for 295$ and he had a line of photogs, because they evidentally represent photographers as well? I said I would think about it, and when he called me the very next day, I said no thanks. He was more like a salesman than a manager. From the waiting room it seems like they prey on newbie actors and child actors.

Unless you are SUPER SUPER hot-looking or can levitate off the ground or read minds etc etc, you have nothing to offer serious industry at this stage and they would not be interested. It's been said over and over and over before but one more time- IF IT SEEMS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE IT PROBABLY IS.
nailed it! harsh reality but very very true. Artist are so easily ripped off it's crazy.
