I have never heard of agencies or managers getting that specific with a type. There might be, but I have never heard of them... I think most agencies would require a bit more diversity in their talent pool. Mostly, as I understand it, and agent won't take on more than two or three of the same type. The reason being that if one of them is constantly booking the roles in that area, there's no reason to send extra competition out there or represent an actor who is up against a consistent booker. I dunno, maybe SAM can help.

No. Agents need to serve the needs of the marketplace. We represent all types of actors so we can have a shot at all types of roles. And every agency in town has several older character actors - for both theatrical and commercial - because that's a very popular category.
