Any insight into what kind of questions you should go into a managers/agents office with for your first meeting? I have a couple of meetings this week and would like to be prepared.

How do you like to be contacted?
What type do you think I am?
Do you have many clients who are my type?
What are your clients doing? Many working?
How has the economy affected your office/clients?
What CD's/Agents do have good relationships with? (Especially for managers)
(A good manager will set up meeting for you with agents/cd's)

Remember..This is an interview for them as well as you. So interview them. They are on your team and work for you. You don't work for them. Be polite and friendly, but don't give away your power. You are the product. They are the salesmen.

Wow, those are some crappy questions. They would bore me to tears. Trying reading "An Agent Tells All". The book has an entire chapter on how to take a meeting with an agent. It also has a lot of info on how to find the right manager. (If you're in LA, Samuel French should carry it.)

Either way, good luck!

I am myself in meetings, very conversational. I talk about other things besides acting. I am who I am.

But what I mentioned above are some of the topics I hear agents speak of in seminars I have attended. Knowing your type, how many clients they rep, how they like to be contacted, etc. Boring or not. I never sit there and fire off questions, but I do inquire about some of those things mentioned if they happen to come up.

To each his own.
